A: Resole phenolic resins have a short shelf life: less than 1 year (less than 60 days in most cases).

Q: What is the pH of phenolic resin?

A: According to this patent, most commercially available phenol formaldehyde resins have an alkaline pH range, such as between 9 and 9.6, and this makes the addition of the strong acid to provide a pH between 4.5 and 6.5 a quite different thing.
